Gilberto has been working in the nautical field for more than 10 years. Starting in his early age as a dinghy instructor, after a degree in mathematics he moved to Spain to work in the Wally/Maxi circuit where he stayed for 6 seasons.
Taking advantage of his technical and analytical skills, he specialized as a self-taught in the knowledge of on-board electronic systems and in the analysis of performance data, also creating specific courses and reference texts to train the next generation of navigators.
He has four transatlantic races to his credit, as well as some of the most important offshore races such as Fastnet, Middle Sea Race, Giraglia and all the regattas of the Superyacht circuit in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
He’s always involved in teaching and sharing knowledge on the topics that he’s passionate about, and brings professionalism on board every project in which he is involved.
