Bodo is one of those sailors who can be entrusted with a project with the aim of making it a success. This is due to his technical preparation on several topics and his personal ability to manage crews and shipowners. The overall vision – from the boat’ set-up and preparation, to the sails and team – in addition to his skills as a tactician, helmsman and trimmer, are the cornerstone of his profession and make him a valuable presence for Phi!Number.
Lorenzo, after all, got on a boat at the age of 7, joining the national team by the age of 14 and being selected for Sydney 2000 Olympics in Tornado class.
Valid help in the development of certificates and in decisions regarding strategy and organisation, he is particularly efficient in ORC projects, where for Phi!Number he’s hit the target in 4 World, 2 European and 2 Italian Championships, with further international successes in prestigious regattas.
As with many of us, his life consists of waking up in the morning and making sure that everything, even well before the regatta, leads to reaching the best position in the rankings from one-design events up to off-shore regattas.
However, we’ll tell you a secret: his true passion is not sailing, but grinding kilometres by bicycle.
